DSO National Laboratories
DSO National Laboratories (DSO) is Singapore’s national defence research and development organisation. It develops innovations that can provide technological surprises to sharpen the cutting edge of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
With more than 1,000 research scientists and engineers, DSO researches into emerging technologies, matures promising ones and integrates them into innovative system concepts to meet Singapore’s defence and security needs.
Science Centre Singapore
The Science Centre Singapore, a non-formal educational institution dedicated to the promotion of science and technology among students and the public. It houses 14 exhibition galleries with more than 1,000 exhibits, another 18,000 sq metres of outdoor space and the Omni-Theatre – Singapore’s only dome-shaped, 5-storey high, 276 seat theatre. The Science Centre, with Omni-Theatre and Snow City, received more than 1.55 million visitors for FY2009/2010.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers was established in 1847 in the UK and has some of the world’s greatest engineers in its history books. It currently has around 88,000 members in 120 countries representing mechanical engineers in fields such as automotive, rail, offshore marine engineering, aerospace, medical, power, and construction industries.
Nanyang Polytechnic
Nanyang Polytechnic is a modern tertiary institution dedicated to meeting the manpower needs of Singapore and the aspirations of our students. Established in 1992, the history of NYP goes back to the late ’70s and early ’80s – the days of the French-Singapore Institute (FSI), German-Singapore Institute (GSI), Japan-Singapore Institute (JSI) and Precision Engineering Institute (PEI). These Institutes of Technology were transferred from the Economic Development Board (EDB) to Nanyang Polytechnic to become part of our School of Engineering. We have a long tradition of working in partnership with industry and educational institutions. These partnerships have grown stronger over the years, adding value to our teaching and learning. Today, NYP has seven Schools offering a wide range of courses in engineering, information technology, interactive and digital media, design, business management, health sciences and chemical & life sciences. These courses cater to students seeking a quality polytechnic education and to working professionals looking at upgrading opportunities.
Nanyang Technological University
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. The university has roots that go back to 1955 when Nanyang University was set up. Today, NTU has four colleges with 12 schools, and two autonomous entities, the National Institute of Education and S Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
National University of Singapore

Republic of Singapore Air Force
The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) is an operationally ready airforce, equipped with various platforms and systems to safeguard our airspace 24/7. Our multi-layered air defence shield comprises Fighters, Ground-based Air Defence systems, and Surveillance Radars. From our modest beginnings, the last four decades saw the rapid transformation of the RSAF into a cutting-edge 3rd Generation Air Force, which is Full Spectrum, Integrated and Ready.
The RSAF is a highly responsive force, capable of handling a full spectrum of missions from peace to war. Through the years, we have established core competencies such as attaining an excellent safety record, and high operational and professional standards. Singapore Polytechnic
Established in 1954 to meet the manpower needs identified by the government, Singapore Polytechnic (SP) is Singapore’s first educational institution of its kind. Its nine academic schools offer more than 40 full-time diploma courses for its 15,000 students and courses are kept relevant through close links with industry and government bodies, as well as with various overseas institutions. SP offers broad-based, multi-disciplinary and flexible curriculum dedicated to hands-on experience and is committed to the development of its applied research and development capability to enhance the quality of teaching and commercialisation efforts. Beyond the classroom, close to 90 student clubs covering areas like arts, culture, sports and community service make student life vibrant and fulfilling.
Singapore Youth Flying Club
The Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC) promotes aviation and inculcate a strong passion for flying amongst our youths.
Full-time Junior College and Polytechnic students can take up free flying training for the Private Pilot’s License (PPL). Flying training is provided on the new generation DA-40 Diamond Star CS trainer aircraft, equipped with full glass cockpit and modern avionics.
The flying training provided by SYFC for the PPL license is a stepping stone to take up flying as a military career pilot in RSAF.
